A man has died in a horrific incident on an industrial estate in Angus.
The incident happened at an 'industrial premises' on Monday afternoon on East Mill Road in Brechin.
Emergency services including multiple ambulances, fire crews and a helicopter raced to the Rybay Corrosion Services premises.
Despite the best efforts of paramedics and other trauma specialists the 32-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.
A Police Scotland spokesman confirmed the victim’s family have been informed of the incident but his identification is not being released at this time.
The spokesperson said: “Around 3pm on Monday, 14 March, 2022, police were called to an industrial premises on East Mill Road, Brechin, following reports that a 32-year-old man had been injured within.
“Emergency services attended, however, the man died at the scene. His family is aware. A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
"Inquiries into the full circumstances surrounding the incident are ongoing and the Health and Safety Executive has been informed."
A spokesman for the Health and Safety Executive told Dundee Live: "We have been made aware of the fatality and are currently working with Police Scotland and making enquiries into the circumstances of the incident."
