Man dies after emergency services called to Nottingham Mercure Hotel

Police have issued a statement after a man's sudden death over the weekend. It comes after emergency services were called to a Nottingham hotel on Saturday afternoon (June 18).

Police cars and ambulances were spotted at the Mercure Hotel on Mansfield Road at around 2.40pm. An eyewitness told Nottinghamshire Live that they had seen three fire engines attending the scene as well.

The force has now confirmed that a man had died at the scene. His death is not currently being treated as suspicious, it has been confirmed by Nottinghamshire Police.

Detective Constable Rich Naylor, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Officers were called to a report of a man’s sudden death at an address in Mansfield Road, Nottingham, on Saturday afternoon (18 June 2022). His death is not currently being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the Coroner.

"Our deepest condolences are with his family and friends at this difficult time.”
