A man has died following an overnight house fire on St Clement's Road in Drumcondra.
Emergency services arrived at the scene in the early hours of this morning. Dublin Fire Brigade removed the man, aged in his 50's, from the blaze at around 2:45am.
He was taken to the Mater Hospital with serious burn injuries but later passed away. A number of other residents escaped from the house uninjured.

Dublin Fire Brigade expressed their condolences to the deceased's family and friends on Twitter, saying: "A man has died following a fire in his home in Drumcondra overnight.
"Despite best efforts of Firefighters and Advanced Paramedics on scene he passed away in hospital. A number of people self-rescued. Our thoughts are with the man's family, friends and neighbours."
A garda spokesman told Dublin Live: Gardai and emergency services attended the scene of a house fire in the early hours of this morning Monday 18th July, 2022 in Drumcondra, Dublin 9.
"At approximately 2.45a.m. Dublin Fire brigade removed a man, late 50s from the house who was taken to the Mater Hospital with serious burn injuries. He later passed away. A post mortem will take place at a later date.
"A number of other residents from the house managed to evacuate the house and were uninjured. Gardaí remain at scene at this time and investigations ongoing."
