Man City XI vs Bayern Munich: Starting lineup, confirmed team news, injury latest for Champions League today

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has brought Bernardo Silva into the side as he looks to mastermind a Champions League victory over Bayern Munich.

Guardiola has largely stuck with the same line-up in recent weeks, with the likes of Kyle Walker and Silva finding themselves on the sidelines.

That has changed for this quarter-final first leg, against a team Guardiola knows very well and a manager both club and coach are very well acquainted in Thomas Tuchel.

Bernardo Silva played every minute of the last-16 tie win over RB Leipzig and he comes in for Riyad Mahrez, with Jack Grealish continuing on the opposite flank.

Erling Haaland unsurprisingly leads the line, looking to add to his tally of 10 Champions League goals this season. Five of those came at home to RB Leipzig in the last-16.

Phil Foden remains out, but it is otherwise a strong bench for City as they look to secure a positive first-leg result.

Man City XI: Ederson, Stones, Akanji, Dias, Ake, Rodri, De Bruyne, Gundogan, Bernardo, Grealish, Haaland

Subs: Ortega Moreno, Carson, Walker, Phillips, Laporte, Alvarez, Gomez, Mahrez, Perrone, Palmer, Lewis
