Manchester City vs Real Madrid LIVE
Pep Guardiola & Co. have it all to do tonight at the Etihad Stadium if they are to reach the Champions League quarter-finals, in what could be the manager's final season in England. Real Madrid hold a huge 3-0 advantage from the first leg, and few would bet against them progressing.
Guardiola faced criticism from some for his team selection last time out, leaving out the likes of Matheus Nunes and Rayan Ait-Nouri in favour of a more attacking formation, but is expected to name a more straightforward team tonight. They will need to improve in front of goal, with Erling Haaland goal-shy at present.
Real Madrid, meanwhile, will know that the job is not done yet, but one early goal will kill the tie as they look to knock City out of the competition for the third consecutive season. Follow the game LIVE below with our dedicated match blog, featuring expert insight and analysis.

Pep Guardiola speaking to Amazon Prime
19:37 , Alex Young"A big [challenge] - the toughest one. We have some history behind us, and we remember that it is good. We have done many good things in the years.
"Well, I think we are as a team compact. Last season we were not at all stable, but in general good."
"We know the first leg, the quality in the final third. We tried to impose our game and move the ball. Now it is time for people to make the difference."
We have to provide assists and passes to [Erling Haaland] because he is an incredible finisher."

Haaland failed to muster a single shot in the first leg, for just the second time in his Champions League career.
City need him to turn up tonight.
These Real Madrid fans are in a confident mood.

'First goal willl be crucial'
19:07 , Alex YoungAlan Shearer has had his say on tonight’s game.
“I was very surprised to see that many changes for City and I was slightly surprised to see such an attacking line-up,” he told Betfair.
“I guess Pep felt he could go there and beat them because they haven't been great. I've seen Real Madrid a couple of times. But given their history in this competition, this is probably when they come alive.
“This is when it really matters for Real Madrid. They certainly showed that last week and they absolutely punished City. They missed a penalty; it could have been four, and it would have been all over. At 3-0, it's not. I've been to games before where three goals have been turned over. I think it's all about the first goal at the Etihad. If Real Madrid get the first goal, it's over. If City get it, then it's game on.”
That is an attacking team from Guardiola, again.
Nunes and Ait-Nouri are in at full-back, and Reijnders is in midfield. January arrivals Guehi and Semenyo benched. Cherki is in.
Kovacic is back in the squad for the first time since October.

Inspiration for Man City
18:32 , Alex YoungThe last time a team overturned a three-goal first-leg deficit was Liverpool in 2019 against Barcelona.
Liverpool won a classic second leg 4-0, with Divock Origi and Georginio Wijnaldum scoring twice to send the Reds into the final.
The following evening, Tottenham were 3-0 down to Ajax before launching a stunning second-half comeback in the second leg to go through to the final on away goals.
Barcelona were also guilty the previous year, having beaten Roma 4-1 in their quarter-final first leg only to go down 3-0 back in Italy to go out on away goals.
But the Spanish giants still boast the most famous of comebacks. After losing 4-0 to PSG in their first leg in 2017, then won the second leg 6-1 with almost the last kick of the game.

'I like the physical battle, I want it and need it'
18:21 , Alex YoungErling Haaland could be key to City's hopes of turning the tie around, and Real defender Antonio Rudiger is relishing another contest with the Norway forward, with the pair having become familiar foes in recent years.
"Players like Haaland - it's a huge pleasure to play against this type of player," Rudiger said on the eve of the match in Manchester.
"I like the physical battle, I want it and need it, the same as him. I'm looking forward to it.
"He's a world-class striker, very strong, and I like these type of duels."

'I have to admit the task is massive'
18:10 , Alex YoungPep Guardiola admits Manchester City face a "massive" task as they attempt to overturn a 3-0 deficit against Real Madrid in the Champions League.
City were heavily beaten in last week's first leg at the Bernabeu, leaving them needing to produce one of the great European comebacks in the second leg of their last-16 tie at the Etihad Stadium to progress.
It may be a daunting challenge against the 15-time European champions but manager Pep Guardiola believes it is possible if his team produce a perfect display.
The City boss said: "I have to admit the task is massive. To score more than three goals against Madrid is not easy.
"The result in the first leg was not the perfect one but at the same time we are here. It's a football game, everything can happen."

Man City vs Real Madrid prediction
17:58 , Alex YoungWhile City have a knack of unlikely comebacks, this one could be a step too far, especially with the returns of Mbappe and Bellingham.
Three goals is quite the deficit to overcome, and they come into this fixture not in the best of form either.
That said, they are strong at home and have enough quality to beat Madrid, but whether they have four unanswered goals in them is another question.
Man City to win, 2-1.
Early Real Madrid team news
17:50 , Alex YoungReal Madrid have been boosted by the return of Kylian Mbappe.
Mbappe has not featured for Madrid since the 2-1 defeat to Osasuna in LaLiga on February 21, missing the last five games in all competitions with a knee injury.
Jude Bellingham, meanwhile, has been sidelined for over a month with a hamstring injury which was initially supposed to keep him out of action until after the March international break.
However, the midfielder has recovered quicker than expected and, along with Mbappe, was named in the Real Madrid travelling party for tonight, along with Alvaro Carreras and David Alaba who missed the first leg.
The pair trained at the Etihad Stadium on Monday night, though Alvaro Arbeloa has confirmed that while Bellingham remains unavailable for selection, Mbappe will play some part at the Etihad Stadium.
With Real Madrid 3-0 up from the first leg and Man City needing to commit players forward in search of goals, the space in behind will suit the speed of Mbappe meaning he could start alongside Vinicius Jr in attack.
Arbeloa has switched between a 4-4-2 and 4-3-3 system recently, opting for the latter in the first leg against Man City and this may see Arda Guler moved to the flanks after he operated as a false nine last week.

Early Man City team news
17:42 , Alex YoungManchester City are almost at full strength tonight, with just Josko Gvardiol and Rico Lewis still sidelined.
There is a discussion to be had at right-back. Abdukodir Khusanov struggled against Vinicius Jr in the first leg, but was shifted to centre-back against West Ham at the weekend. Matheus Nunes has made the position his own this term and could come in there.
In central defence, Ruben Dias was rested in east London, but he will likely return here alongside Marc Guehi, while Nico O’Reilly should fill in at left-back after playing in central midfield against the Hammers.
In midfield, Bernardo Silva was alongside Rodri at the Bernabeu and is likely to reprise that role, while Antoine Semenyo has been handed more of a free central role off lone striker Erling Haaland in recent weeks.
Should he continue there, that could mean Jeremy Doku returns off the left and Rayan Cherki plays on the right, although he could switch with Semenyo.
