Man City transfer round-up: £50m rated defender 'chooses City over Chelsea'

Manchester City are not ready to put Sheikh Mansour's thick chequebook away despite landing Erling Haaland and Julian Alvarez to strengthen their attack.

The Blues are targeting Kalvin Phillips as they search for a midfielder to replace Fernandinho and are ready to open the bidding for Leeds' England international. There could also be departures from the Etihad and Raheem Sterling and Gabriel Jesus are attracting much attention from City's Premier League rivals.
