Man City transfer news: City 'offered Neymar by PSG' and Marc Cucurella update

Oleksandr Zinchenko is off to Arsenal, clearing the way for Pep Guardiola to move for Brighton's Marc Cucurella.

Guardiola is a big fan of Cucurella who had a stand-out season in his first campaign with the Seagulls following his move 12 month ago from Getafe. Guardiola feels Cucurella will be an upgrade for City at left-back and he could be the Blues' last big-summer buy following the £100million capture of Erling Haaland and Kalvin Phillips.

Mirror Sport has the latest Manchester City news, including updates on Neymar and Cucurella.

City offered the chance to sign Neymar

The Football Transfer Tavern carry claims by Le Parisien that Manchester City have been offered the chance to sign Neymar.

The report claims Paris St Germain are ready to offload Neymar, five years after they smashed the world transfer record to sign him from Barcelona for £200million. Neymar has turned 30 and made just 22 appearances last season because of an ankle problem.

It is reported that City have not taken up the offer and Pep Guardiola is said to be happy with his current strikeforce.

City focussed on landing the £55million-rated Cucurella

HITC carry claims by transfer guru Fabrizio Romano that Manchester City are now focused on landing Marc Cucurella from Brighton.

City are clearing the way for Cucurella's arrival at the Etihad by offloading Oleksandr Zinchenko to Arsenal and Pep Guardiola feels the Spaniard will be an upgrade for them at left-back. Romano claims the only sticking point is the fee and Brighton reportedly want as much as £55million for Cucurella.

City are unwilling to pay this much and will attempt to drive down Brighton's asking price, especially if they know Cucurella wants to join them.

City starlet set to join Bayer Leverkusen

HITC also carry a report claiming City starlet Samuel Edozie is set to join Bayer Leverkusen.

Edozie, 19, has made just one senior appearance for City in last season's Community Shield defeat to Leicester. Leverkusen have identified the England youth international and could pay as much as £10million to lure him to the Bundesliga.

City have developed a lucrative trade in selling off their surplus young players and they received nearly £23million from Southampton for Romeo Lavia and Gavin Bazunu.
