Phil Foden has returned to Manchester City training ahead of the Champions League quarter-final second leg with Bayern Munich.
City travel to Germany with a massive advantage having won the first leg a week ago in incredible fashion at the Etihad by an emphatic 3-0 scoreline. The tie is far from over yet, though, and Pep Guardiola has received a timely boost with the return of Foden ahead of the return fixture.
The playmaker has been sidelined since the March international break after pulling out of the England squad due to appendicitis and has been recovering from surgery in the weeks since. It's not yet clear if Foden will travel to Germany after just one training session but his return to action still comes at a great time with the FA Cup semi-final and blockbuster clash with Arsenal to come over the next week.

Foden's comeback means City trained with a full-strength squad ahead of the trip to Munich with no fresh injury concerns for Guardiola, who got to give a lot of his important stars minutes off during Saturday's 3-1 win over relegation strugglers Leicester City.
Now City will be looking to build upon their perfect first-leg performance which saw Rodri open the scoring in the first half with a screamer as he curled the ball into the top corner from 25 yards with his weaker foot. Guardiola's side had to weather a storm in the second 45 as Bayern came out guns blazing but two goals in six minutes from Bernardo Silva and Erling Haaland secured the win.
The three goals have seen City put one foot in the semi-final but, as Guardiola and several players have repeatedly stated, the tie is not over yet. The Blues will have to ensure they, like they have done so often in several heartbreak eliminations, don't throw away their advantage from the first leg so they can advance to face either Real Madrid or Chelsea in the semi-finals.
Bayern themselves have received an injury boost as Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting has trained after the striker missed the first leg with injury.
