Manchester City will have to fend off competition from Liverpool and Tottenham if they are to land Atalanta starlet Giorgio Scalvini, according to reports.
The 18-year-old has already earned three caps for Italy, one of which came against Germany in June's Nations League clash. The centre-back possesses versatility, being also to play as a defensive midfielder.
He has helped his club keep five clean sheets in his 11 outings and his displays are attracting the interests of several Premier League big-hitters. Tottenham were the first club touted as having interest in the teenager, but now Calciomercato claims City, Liverpool and Juventus have entered the race.

Scalvini only has 32 senior appearances for Atalanta but managed to impress Italy boss Roberto Mancini since his breakthrough last year. His country failed to qualify for the World Cup in Qatar but he could become an important figure for the Italians in future tournaments.
Meanwhile, O Jogo (as per Sport Witness ) claims academy youngster Kayky is set to return from a season-long loan at Portuguese club Pacos Ferreira early due to a lack of playing time.
The 19-year-old winger was rumoured to be wanted by a number of clubs over the summer, including Galatasaray, following impressive development in the youth ranks. He secured a move to the continent in the summer but his time in Portugal has not gone to plan.
He has started just three of his nine appearances this term and is yet to provide a goal or an assist. Kayky’s last appearance for the club came in October and he hasn’t started a game since mid-September.
The report says he could make an early return to the Etihad and seek another loan move elsewhere for the second half of the season.
The Brazilian has made two senior appearances for City, making his debut against Swindon in the FA Cup in February as a substitute before enjoying a cameo against Norwich in the league a month later.
