Manchester City striker Erling Haaland has revealed when he hopes to make his debut after he did not feature in his side's 2-1 victory against Club America in Houston.
It had been expected that the birthday boy would make his City debut at the NRG Stadium however Pep Guardiola opted to start Julian Alvarez instead. As the match wore on it became clear the Norwegian would not be featuring.
Haaland was spotted on the bench in casual gear as he watched his new teammates take part in an intense fixture. Kevin De Bruyne gave City the lead with a fine strike before Henry Martin equalised following a defensive mistake.

On the stroke of half time, the Blues' captain slotted a lovely strike underneath the goalkeeper in what would turn out to be the winning goal. Plenty of substitutions were made in the second 45 by both teams but Haaland remained on the bench.
At full time though, Haaland took to Twitter to thank people for their birthday wishes and announce when he will be making his debut. "Thanks! Debut vs Bayern Inshallah," the 22-year-old posted.
