Man City sent Erling Haaland warning amid Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham Premier League boost

Erling Haaland looks unstoppable at Manchester City after completing a £51million move from Borussia Dortmund, but there is one lingering concern for the future that could benefit Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham.

The Gunners currently lead the way in the Premier League, four points ahead of the reigning champions whilst Spurs and the Blues are close behind making up the rest of the top four. Mikel Arteta's side have lost just one game in all competitions so far this season and are looking like early Premier League title contenders with Liverpool languishing down in mid-table.

Haaland has scored 15 goals already this term and is continuing to impress after enjoying strong spells with Dortmund and RB Salzburg. The Norwegian striker's arrival at the Etihad Stadium resulted in City moving on both Gabriel Jesus and Raheem Sterling, with the former moving to the Emirates Stadium, whilst the latter made the move to Stamford Bridge.

Borussia Dortmund sporting director Sebastian Kehl has identified one factor that could end up derailing City's domestic dominance, however. Haaland's amazing form saw him linked with big money moves to Real Madrid and Bayern Munich before he eventually decided on joining the Premier League champions, though the saga surrounding his future negatively impacted Dortmund as a club, despite his massive contribution on the pitch.

Kehl oversaw Haaland's £51m transfer to City and claims the whole situation resulted in the forward becoming something of a "burden" on the dressing room, as per The Mirror. Speaking to German publication Sport Bild, the Dortmund chief said: "As much as we always loved Haaland and he was successful with us, in the end, he became a burden on the dressing room, the club and the whole environment.

"He [Haaland] had become the subject of every conversation. Outside the club, almost everything was exclusively focused on him.

"In the end, the timing of the transfer was right for both parties. And we are all happy for Erling that he continues to be so successful."

The Norway international's father, Alf-Inge Haaland, has previously hinted that his son may look to move on from City in the next three or four years to prove himself in a new league. He said: "I think Erling wants to prove his abilities in all leagues.

"Then he can stay there [Manchester City] for three or four years at the most. He could be, for example, two-and-a-half years in Germany, two-and-a-half years in England and then in Spain, Italy, France, right?"

Haaland's father continued by ranking some of Europe's top clubs after reports suggested the pair used a 'points system' to decide where the 21-year-old would move to after Dortmund. He added: "On our list, I think City is the best team.

"[Bayern] Munich is number two. We have Real Madrid as number three, Paris Saint-Germain as number four. We also have some English teams other than City who are quite good. Liverpool and Chelsea. Also, there is Barcelona. They are sort of in the same row."
