Man City's Kalvin Philips told he is 'in danger of being on a coach back' to Leeds United

Former Aston Villa striker Gabriel Agbonlahor has warned Kalvin Phillips that he is "in danger of being on a coach back to Leeds" after his poor performance for Manchester City during their 2-0 defeat to Southampton on Wednesday night.

Pep Guardiola's side were stunned by bottom of the league Southampton during their Carabao Cup quarter-final at St Mary's. The Saints ran out 2-0 winners despite the likes of Erling Haaland, Kevin de Bruyne and Phil Foden all being on the pitch.

Man City, who have won the competition on five out of the last seven occasions, failed to find a way to battle back on the south coast. It was a particularly disappointing night for Phillips, who failed to make the most of his first start for the club.
