Phil Foden has not caught many breaks this season.
The Manchester City forward looked irreplaceable back in October when he was smashing in a Manchester derby hat-trick, yet soon tumbled down Pep Guardiola's pecking order. Even after working his way into the England team for the World Cup, since he came back to the Etihad there has been little of Foden's best.
After being an unused substitute against Tottenham in midweek, Foden was completely absent from the squad for the 3-0 win over Wolves - with Guardiola subsequently explaining that the player had picked up a niggling foot injury in the United defeat at Old Trafford and had agreed with doctors to rest to try and sort it. As such, a return is unknown.
