Manchester City loanee Tommy Doyle is aiming to 'create his own history' after sending Sheffield United to the FA Cup semi-finals.
Doyle netted a stunning stoppage time winner at Bramall Lane as the Blades defeated fellow Championship side Blackburn Rovers is a highly entertaining affair. Sheffield United had twice trailed in South Yorkshire and with the game looking as though it was heading into extra-time after Oli McBurnie's 81st minute equaliser, Doyle stepped up with a brilliant long-range effort to send his side to Wembley.
Both Doyle's grandfathers, Mike Doyle and Glyn Pardoe, won the FA Cup with City in 1969. And after the game, the 21-year-old reiterated his desire to create his own history.

Speaking to ITV, he said: "I said the other day in an interview that I wanted to try and create my own history and we're in the process of doing that at the moment, which is a great feeling. So hopefully we go to Wembley and win.
"I just give it a good wallop and thankfully it went into the top corner, which is honestly probably one of the best feelings I've had. You know, when the fans go mental like that, it's an unbelievable feeling."
Doyle and fellow City loanee James McAtee will be praying the Blades are not drawn against their parent club in the semi-finals, as they would be ineligible. It's something Sheffield United boss Paul Heckingbottom wants to try and avoid.
He said: "My wish is we don’t draw City, we don’t complicate things with the loans, that is just what I wish, but we will wait and see. It would have to be discussed, it just complicates things, if we avoid them they are our players and if we drew them, they are their players."
On Doyle, Heckingbottom added: "He's grounded, he's got the right attitude and that's from his family. Some players are not willing to shoot from there but Tommy is not one of those. A fantastic goal and one worthy of winning any game.
"There are some players who I would want to see passing there but not Tommy, I fancied him as soon as he got the touch on it. It's no fluke that, we see that off him all the time
"We have a chance of automatic and in the semi-final. He's played a big part in that and I said to him walking off 'that's what you came here for'."
