The latest Man City injury news will come as a huge blow for Pep Guardiola after it was confirmed Ruben Dias will miss up to a month’s worth of football.
Man City Injury News: Pep Guardiola Confirms Ruben Dias Absence
Pep Guardiola confirmed the news on Friday morning as the 2024-25 campaign goes from bad to worse.
Dias missed all five games in November with a calf problem. The Portuguese defender did return from the calf problem at the start of December.
Now Dias is expected to be out for up to a month with another muscular injury and will miss Saturday’s clash with Aston Villa.

Man City’s Injury Woes Continue
The Premier League champions have suffered many setbacks with injuries this campaign.
Nathan Ake remains sidelined but some positive news is that John Stones and Manuel Akanji have returned to training.
“Manuel and John are back in training,” Guardiola added. “That is good for us. As many players that are back the better.
“I don’t know yet [if they can start against Aston Villa]. Yesterday was their first training session, I would say, properly. They have been out for a while.”
The good news stopped there for the champions. Along with Dias, City will be without another key star at the back as Ederson is expected to also miss the trip to Villa Park on the weekend.
