Manchester City legend Sergio Aguero has backed Arsenal to have a top-quality 2022/23 campaign.
The Gunners finished fifth in the Premier League last season, with local rivals Tottenham Hotspur pipping them in the race for UEFA Champions League qualification. Since then, Mikel Arteta's side have strengthened significantly in the transfer market, spending in excess of £110 million on five first-team players, including Gabriel Jesus and Oleksandr Zinchenko.
Now, Aguero has had his say on what he expects from the north Londoners this season, backing them to improve more under Arteta's stewardship. Speaking to Stake.com, the former Argentine frontman said: "As always, I believe that the Premier League will show this season that it is beginning to be one of the most competitive leagues in the world.
