Liverpool earned a massive three points in the Premier League on Wednesday evening after beating Arsenal 2-0 at the Emirates Stadium.
Jurgen Klopp's side went into tonight's match looking to capitalise on Manchester City's dropped points at Crystal Palace, and that is exactly what they did courtesy of second half goals from Diogo Jota and Roberto Firmino.
This result now leaves Liverpool just one point behind Pep Guardiola's side, who will now be feeling the pressure ahead of the Reds' visit to the Etihad Stadium on April 10.

City found themselves way out in front during the festive period as the Reds fell to defeat at Leicester and surrendered a two-goal lead at Chelsea to draw 2-2, but Klopp's men have fought back to remain in contention and will now fancy their chances of going all the way.
The Sky Blues suffered defeat at the hands of Tottenham Hotspur last month and have since drawn with Crystal Palace, meanwhile Liverpool have now won nine successive league fixtures. It's safe to say that City fans are starting to feel the pressure as the number of remaining games continues to fall.
Reacting to tonight's result on social media, a number of Sky Blues supporters are beginning to worry that the momentum is now with Klopp's side as they continue to chase down top spot.
