City exploring Etihad expansion plans
Manchester City have formally started feasibility studies to explore the potential expansion of the North Stand at the Etihad Stadium, as well as the possible development of a hotel and other entertainment facilities.
City will explore the expansion of the North Stand, which is currently the only one in the Etihad without a third tier for spectators. Any increase in capacity to the North Stand could take the stadium's total from the current 53,400 to over 60,000.

Also covered by the feasibility study will be a new club shop, museum, expanded 'City Square' fan zone with more food and drink outlets, and a potential hotel on site to make the Etihad a 'year-round entertainment and leisure destination.' The current City Square backs onto the two-tiered North Stand, with a separate club shop and museum facing it.
Haaland's dad hints at star's City exit
Alf-Inge Haaland has hinted that his son may leave Manchester City in three years' time in a bid to win trophies across Europe.
Since making the move from Borussia Dortmund to the Etihad Stadium in the summer, Erling Haaland has been in magnificent form for the Blues. Before the World Cup break, the Norwegian striker had scored a whopping 23 goals in just 18 appearances in all competitions for City.
Haaland is currently well on track to surpass Mohamed Salah's record for the most goals scored in a single 38-game Premier League season and manager Pep Guardiola will be hopeful that the 22-year-old can help lead his side to success in all competitions. However, Haaland's dad, who also represented City, has claimed that his son could leave the Etihad sooner than City fans would want.
