Man City crowned Premier League champions after Arsenal lose at Nottingham Forest

Manchester City's status as Premier League champions was confirmed on Saturday evening after Arsenal's 1-0 defeat at Nottingham Forest. Taiwo Awoniyi scored the only goal of the game at the City Ground inside 19 minutes to hand Mikel Arteta's side a second straight defeat and end their hopes of a title.

The defeat leaves Arsenal four points off City with just one game left for them to play against Wolves on the final day of the season.

Arsenal have spent much of the season at the top, but three straight draws against Liverpool, West Ham and Southampton allowed City to close the gap. Pep Guardiola's side then beat the Gunners 4-1 at the Etihad to put the title in their hands at the end of April.
