Man City charged with breaking number of Premier League financial rules
Manchester City have been charged with numerous breaches of financial fair play regulations following a four-year investigation by the Premier League.
Last season's Premier League champions have been under scrutiny by the League for alleged profit and sustainability breaches, the investigation resulting in charges brought against the club for the 2009/10 campaign onwards.

City, who were hit with a ban from European competition by UEFA in February 2020 for FFP breaches before having it overturned by the Court of Arbitration for Sport in July of the same year, have remained under investigation by the Premier League following that decision, the focus being on a number of sponsorship deals and how manager and player remuneration was accounted for.

Real Madrid handed Thibaut Courtois injury scare ahead of Liverpool Champions League tie
Real Madrid have been handed a major injury scare ahead of their Champions League last-16 clash with Liverpool as Thibaut Courtois is set to undergo a scan.
The goalkeeper has been among Madrid's best players this season as they struggle to keep pace with La Liga leaders Barcelona. But the former Chelsea number one could now face a spell on the sidelines.
Courtois was set to start in goal for the Spanish champions on Sunday night away to Mallorca. But an adductor injury picked up in the warm-up prevented the 30-year-old from taking part and Madrid lost 1-0.
