Man City are planning audacious Kylian Mbappe move and more transfer rumours

Manchester City have been linked with an audacious move for wantaway Paris Saint-Germain striker Kylian Mbappe.

City ended their two-year search for a new striker when they signed Erling Haaland at the start of the summer, and the results have been nothing short of spectacular. The 22-year-old has scored 20 goals in 14 matches in all competitions for the Blues, making him the most in-form striker in the world right now.

Haaland is widely considered to be the best striker of his generation alongside Mbappe, and now Marca are suggesting that the two could join forces at the Etihad Stadium.

Mbappe has sent shockwaves through football in recent weeks after multiple reports claimed he is unhappy at PSG, despite signing a bumper three-year contract in May. The 23-year-old is said to be angered that promises made to him by the club have not been met, and that he wants to leave as soon as possible.

Marca have earmarked City as one of a few suitors that could potentially afford to sign the Frenchman, alongside rivals Liverpool. Jurgen Klopp's side have been linked with Mbappe for a while now, so a move from City would surely add more fire to an increasingly feisty rivalry.

Meanwhile, Calciomercartoweb are reporting that City could rival Chelsea in pursuit of AC Milan winger Rafael Leao.

The Portuguese attacker has turned plenty of heads since he joined Milan in 2019, particularly last season as he helped the Italian giants win their first Serie A title in 11 years.

Leao has scored four goals and provided eight assists in 14 appearances in all competitions this season, making him one of European football's hottest prospects. The reported €100m price tag reflects that.

Milan are unlikely to allow their star attacker to depart midway through the season though, so if City's interest is concrete then they are unlikely to make any moves until next summer.
