A man charged with the alleged "domestic-related" murder of his partner outside a Darwin CBD hotel on Friday has been remanded in custody after appearing court for the first time.
Dennis Malambula Naroldol , 56, made no application for bail when he appeared before the Darwin Local Court on Monday.
Police allege that Mr Naroldol fatally stabbed the victim, a 51-year-old woman, on Darwin's Esplanade about 6pm on Friday.
The woman sought help at the nearby Hilton DoubleTree hotel, where bystanders offered assistance.
Paramedics who attended were able to re-start the woman's heart and she was transported to hospital in a critical condition.
She later died in hospital.
Mr Naroldol was arrested at the scene, and on Saturday night he was charged with murder.
He remains in custody, with the matter adjourned until June 14.
Woman charged in separate incident
A 22-year-old woman, Magnolia Maymuru, also appeared in court on Monday, charged over an unrelated alleged "domestic violence-related incident" at Darwin's Casuarina Square shopping centre on Friday.
She is charged with aggravated assault, unlawfully causing serious harm, recklessly endangering life and breach of bail.
Police said a 41-year-old man sustained injuries to his leg in the incident, and a 29-year-old woman was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries to her back.
Ms Maymuru did not apply for bail.
Her case was adjourned until May 31.
