Man charged with murder after attack outside Burnt Oak station

A man has been charged with murder after Dragos Carabineanu suffered fatal injuries in an attack outside a north-west London station.

Gabriel Silvera, 19, from Pinner was remanded in custody to appear at Stratford Magistrates Court on Wednesday.

Mr Carabineanu, 46, was critically injured after he was attacked outside Burnt Oak station just after 5am on October 28.

He was taken to St Mary's Hospital in Paddington but died from his injuries on November 1.

A special post-mortem examination is due to be held on Wednesday to establish the cause of his death after the incident which happened close to his home in Burnt Oak.

A 17-year-old male was previously arrested on suspicion of theft in connection with the investigation.

He was taken to a north London police station and was later bailed to return on a date in mid-January 2024.

A 38-year-old woman was arrested on November 3 on suspicion of theft. She was taken to a north London police station and bailed to return on a date in early February 2024.
