A man has been charged with murder after an 82-year-old man was found dead at a home in Camden.
Police were called to a property on West End Lane at around 11.25am on Thursday, March 5 after concerns were raised about the welfare of an elderly resident.
When officers arrived at the address, paramedics from the London Ambulance Service were already at the scene and confirmed the man had died.
Detectives later charged Billy O’Reilly, 53, of Royal Free Square, Islington, with murder.
The arrest was made inside the property within minutes of police arriving at the address.
O’Reilly was charged on Friday, March 7, and is due to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, March 7.
Police said the charge relates to the incident at the Camden address on Thursday morning.
