Man charged with dangerous driving after Ukrainian killed in horror Cork crash

A 37-year-old man has been remanded in custody after being charged in connection with a crash in Fermoy, Co Cork in which a man died at the weekend.

Iulian Lotca appeared before Mallow District Court this morning where he was charged with dangerous driving causing the death of 29-year-old Ihor Skokivsky at McCurtain Street in Fermoy last Saturday.

Mr Lotca, who is a native of Moldova, was also charged with driving with excess alcohol in his system on the same date in the same street.
