A man's been charged with the murder of a farmer after an arrest at a vehicle stop in northwest NSW. (PR HANDOUT IMAGE PHOTO) (AAP)

A man has been charged with murdering a 59-year-old farmer who was found dead on his isolated property in western NSW earlier this year.

Following requests for a welfare check police went to a Miandetta home, about 25km from Nyngan early on January 25, where they found Joel Carter's body, NSW Police said in a statement on Wednesday.
