A 73-year-old man has been charged with murder after the fatal stabbing of a man at his home on NSW's mid-north coast.
The 39-year-old victim died at the scene after emergency services were called to the South West Rocks home on Thursday night.
Paramedics tried unsuccessfully to revive the injured man.
A crime scene was established and detectives began an investigation before the 73-year-old was arrested by police at the home and taken to Kempsey Police Station.
He will face Kempsey Local Court on Friday where police are expected to refuse bail.
Police described the incident as "domestic-related" and said the two men knew each other.
