Man charged over fatal car pile-up

A 19-year-old Victorian man will face a NSW court after a fatal car pile-up near the regional town of Cooma.

A 53-year-old man died at the scene the four-car crash on Friday morning involving his SUV, the teenager's ute, another ute and a light truck.

Police arrested and charged the Victorian man when he was released from hospital after being treatment for non-life threatening injuries.

The male truck driver, 41, and the 62-year-old man in the second ute were hospitalised with minor injuries.

Police suspended the Victorian man's licence and gave him conditional bail before his court appearance.

The man has been charged with charged with causing bodily harm by misconduct while in charge of motor vehicle, negligent driving occasioning death, and dangerous driving occasioning death.
