A MAN has been arrested and charged in connection with attempted murder after a teenage cyclist was struck in Aberdeen.
A 37-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with attempted murder following a road crash on Rousay Drive.
Police received a report at around 6pm on Friday that a white BMW car struck a cyclist.
The cyclist, a 19-year-old man, later attended hospital for treatment. The road was closed for a period of time to allow inquiries to be carried out.
The 37-year-old is due to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Monday September 28.
Sergeant Scott Cooper said: “We are continuing to carry out enquiries following this incident and we are appealing to anyone who was in the area around this time to contact us with any information.
“In addition, any witnesses or anyone with dash-cam footage is asked to come forward as this may be able to assist.”
