Man charged after police search on Central Coast

A Central Coast man has been charged after strike force police allegedly uncovered drugs, a gun and stolen items during a search on Thursday.

Officers targeting drug supply in the region under Strike Force Miamoon searched a property at Copacabana on Thursday, August 27, about 9.10am.

Police alleged in a statement that evening that they had found and seized 18g of methamphetamine, 140g of cannabis, a replica pistol, prescription medications, electronic devices and nail guns believed to be stolen, during the search.

A 32-year-old man was arrested at the scene and taken to Gosford police station where he was charged with two counts of possessing a prohibited drug, another charge related it the drug's alleged supply, and possession an illegal firearm.

Police refused bail. The man will face Bail Court on Friday, August 28.
