Man charged after Falkirk crash as woman and three kids rushed to hospital

A man has been charged after a horror crash Falkirk leaving a woman and three children in hospital.

The collision involving three cars happened on New Hallglen Road in Hallglen at around 4pm yesterday afternoon, Wednesday February 9.

Mercy crews raced to the scene after one of the vehicles left the road and came to a stop on a pavement against a crash barrier.

A 53-year-old will now be reported to the Procurator Fiscal.

Pictures sent to Falkirk Live showed three ambulances and a number of cops in attendance.

The woman and kids were all taken to Forth Valley Royal Hospital, and all managed to escape serious injury.

Road closures were in place until around 8:30pm last night while traffic cops carried out an investigation.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 4pm on Wednesday, 9 February, officers were called to reports of a three car crash on New Hallglen Road, Falkirk.

"There were no reports of serious injuries and the road was reopened around 8.20pm.

"A 53-year-old man has been reported in connection with road traffic offences."
