Man charged after allegedly strangling, assaulting partner

A 47-year-old man has been charged after allegedly strangling and assaulting his partner at their south Canberra home on September 24.

The man from south Canberra will face the ACT Magistrets Court on Wednesday. File Photo

ACT Policing said during the incident, the man allegedly strangled the woman, struck her in the head several times, attempted to suffocate her, and assaulted her with a belt.
