A video of a man confronting another man after the latter was caught on camera urinating in front of the Mumtaz Indian Restaurant in Plano, Texas went viral -- bringing shame to the Indian community as many social media users claimed that he was an Indian -- a staff of the Indian restaurant. As a major row started over the video at a time when anti-India sentiment in Texas is at its peak, some social media users claimed that many Pakistanis use 'Indian' in the name of their businesses and there is no way to know whether the man was an Indian or a Pakistani only from the video. However, the act of urinating in public was condemned.
The man, when he was caught urinating by Ryan Dawson, who posted it on his Instagram, said he urinated in the open because he could not hold it. Dawson asked why he was not using the bathroom inside the restaurant. "The door is locked," the man said.
