A Braddon resident has been hospitalised with serious injuries after two men allegedly broke into his home and assaulted him.
ACT Policing said the assault occurred on Donaldson Street on Monday morning.
The men entered the home about 8.20am on September 30 through the garage and allegedly attacked the resident with a blunt weapon.
Police alleged the men fled the location in a silver Ford Ranger and could have travelled on Cooyong Street, Batman Street, Currong Street North and Founders Lane.
"Police and emergency services arrived a short time later and the man was transported to hospital with serious injuries," an ACT Policing spokeswoman said
She said officers later found the silver Ford Ranger nearby but the vehicle was empty.
Police are investigating the incident and looking for the two men.
Police don't believe the assault was random and inquiries are ongoing to determine if the attackers knew the victim, the spokeswoman said
ACT Policing asked witnesses to come forward if they had relevant information or dashcam footage of the silver vehicle along the five streets about 8.20am on September 30.
Witnesses were urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or on the Crime Stoppers ACT website. They were asked to quote 7863418. Police said information could be provided anonymously.
