A man has been arrested after one man died and another was seriously injured in Victoria's southeast.
Police were called to Hagenauer Street in Sale just after 9pm on Friday, after reports two men had been seriously injured.
Paramedics treated one man, who is yet to be formally identified, but he died after being taken to hospital.
Another man was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Homicide squad detectives have arrested a 30-year-old Sale man who is assisting with their inquiries. No one else is being sought over the incident.
