Man arrested on suspicion of drug supply after police raid house

A man was arrested on suspicion of drug offences after police raided a house.

Merseyside Police attended Macket’s Lane in Halewood on Thursday (May 11). Officers carried out a warrant at a property.

A 25-year-old man from Liverpool was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply Class A and B drugs. He remains in police custody.

Officers remain at the scene on Macket’s Lane while enquiries continue. Eyewitnesses said they saw riot police, officers with dogs and Welsh police on the road this morning.

One neighbour said police had been at the scene since at least 8.30am, and that she saw an officer in latex gloves guarding the door to the house. Police also appeared to carry out a search of a car.
