A 38-year-old man was arrested in Dickson on Friday after allegedly driving unregistered, uninsured and while disqualified.
ACT Policing said about 1.45pm on Friday, July 17, 2026, officers conducting patrols in the Dickson area identified a Mitsubishi Triton that was unregistered.
Officers stopped the vehicle and spoke with the driver. Subsequent checks identified that the man was the subject of an outstanding arrest warrant and was disqualified from driving, police said.
Police conducted a roadside drug test which returned a positive indication for cannabis. A secondary oral fluid analysis also returned a positive indication for cannabis, with a sample sent for laboratory testing.
The man was arrested and transported to the ACT Watch House. He is expected to face the ACT Magistrates Court on Saturday after being charged with driving while disqualified, using an unregistered vehicle, using an uninsured vehicle and driving with a prescribed drug in oral fluid or blood.
