A man has been charged in connection with a sexual assault in Hamilton.
The 26-year-old will appear at the town's sheriff court today after Police Scotland earlier confirmed his arrest.
The incident took place around 9.20am on Friday, January 21 in the Pollock Avenue area of the town.
Last week we told you how the alleged victim, a 21-year-old woman, was left badly shaken from what happened.
A police appeal was launched as officers urged members of the public to come forward with information.
And it was also reported that the force were checking CCTV in and around the local area.
Detective Sergeant Scott Boyle told us last week the woman "did not require medical treatment", but had been left "very shaken" by what had happened.
Police Scotland said today: "We can confirm that a 26-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with a sexual assault in Hamilton.
"The incident took place around 9.20am on Friday, 21 January in the Pollock Avenue area.
"He is due to appear at Hamilton Sheriff Court on Friday, 4 February, 2022."
