A man aged in his 30s has been arrested after gardai and Revenue officers seized a large haul of illegal cannabis drugs in Tallaght.
Earlier today as part of an intelligence-led operation, Revenue officers seized approximately 5.74kgs of herbal cannabis with an estimated value of almost €115,000 in Tallaght, Dublin. According to gardai, the seizure was made as a result of a joint operation conducted by Revenue’s Customs Service, the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB) and the Tallaght District Drugs Unit.
A Garda spokesman confirmed that one man in his 30s has been arrested in relation to the drugs seizure.

It is understood that he is being detained at a garda station in south Dublin.
A garda spokesman said: "Today (21/04/2023), as part of an intelligence-led operation, Revenue officers seized approximately 5.74kgs of herbal cannabis with an estimated value of almost €115,000 in Tallaght, Dublin.
"This seizure was made as a result of a joint operation conducted by Revenue’s Customs Service, the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB) and the Tallaght District Drugs Unit.
"A man in his 30s was arrested by An Garda Síochána and is currently detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996 at a Garda Station in south Dublin."
