A MAN has been arrested after armed police swarmed a block of high-rise flats in Glasgow.
Officers responded to reports of a "disturbance" at Hartlaw Crescent in Hillington on Sunday.
A 42-year-old man was later arrested, with police saying there is now "no wider risk to the public".
The nature of the incident is not currently known but an eyewitness told Glasgow Live that specialist units were at the scene and it appeared to be a “major” police response.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 12.05pm on Sunday, 29 September, 2024, officers attended a report of a disturbance on Hartlaw Crescent, Glasgow.
“A 42-year-old man has been arrested in connection and enquiries are ongoing. There is no wider risk to the public.”
