Man and woman killed in terraced house fire in Nottingham

Two people have died in a house fire in the early hours of this morning (Saturday, March 26). The blaze broke out in a terraced property in Nottingham.

A spokesman from Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that a man and a woman died in the blaze. It happened in Whittier Road, Sneinton, just before 12.45am today, Nottinghamshire Live reports.

Nottinghamshire Police said in a statement: "Emergency services were called to reports of a house fire in Whittier Road, Sneinton, at 12.43am today. The property, a terraced house, was severely damaged by smoke and fire and adjoining properties were evacuated as fire crews tackled the blaze.
