Gardai are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage after a serious collision in Co Kildare left two pedestrians in hospital.
The incident happened at Captain’s Hill in Leixlip, Co Kildare last Wednesday evening, November 23. A man and a woman both aged in their 60s, were struck by a vehicle between 6:20pm and 6:35pm.
The two pedestrians were taken to Connolly Hospital, Blanchardstown where they remain with non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the vehicle was also injured in the crash.

Gardai are now appealing for any witnesses to the collision to come forward, and they are also looking for dash-cam footage or other footage of the area from Wednesday night. A garda spokesman said: "Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following a serious road traffic collision that occurred on the evening of Wednesday, 23rd November, 2022, in County Kildare.
"Shortly after 6:30pm on this date, Gardaí received reports of a road traffic collision at Captain's Hill, Leixlip, which occurred between 6:20pm and 6:35pm. Two pedestrians (a female and male, aged in their 60s) were struck by a vehicle.
"Both pedestrians were brought to and remain in Connolly Hospital, Blanchardstown, where their injuries are described as non-life threatening. The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle was injured.
"Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward. Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the Captain's Hill area between 6:15pm and 6:45pm are asked to make this footage available to Gardaí," added the spokesman.
