A child and man have been found dead inside a flat - with neighbours having reportedly heard "screaming and shouting" prior to the discovery.
Police are treating the deaths as "unexplained", with the boy understood to be aged four.
Officers had responded to a report of concern for the pair at the property in Paisley at around 8pm on Monday evening.
Their bodies were found inside, with post mortem examinations due - though investigators do not believe at this stage anyone else was involved.
Witnesses have described seeing ambulance crews, as well as CID and forensic officers at the scene on Argyle Street.
Forensics were being carried out until the following evening, with a tent erected amid the crime scene.
