Man allegedly sexually abused stepdaughter 'behind closed doors' for months

A man allegedly repeatedly sexually abused his stepdaughter over eight months "behind closed doors," a magistrate has said.

The 40-year-old man, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was granted bail in the ACT Magistrates Court on Monday, September 7.

Police allege he abused the girl at a home in south Canberra between December 2025 and August 2026.
