A teenager has been flown to hospital after a motorcycle accident in the Upper Hunter.
A Westpac Rescue Helicopter was tasked by NSW Ambulance to a motorcycle accident on a property north of Scone on Sunday, September 13 about 10.30am.
The teenage girl was injured in the accident and was treated by paramedics and the helicopter's critical care team before being airlifted to John Hunter Hospital.
In a separate incident, a man in his 40s was seriously injured after crashing a mountain bike in a national park in the region at the weekend.
Paramedics and the Westpac Rescue Helicopter were tasked to bushland in the Yengo National Park at Upper Macdonald, southwest of Wollombi, about 11am on Saturday, September 12.
The man was found about 400 metres from the Heartbreak Hill campground having sustained serious injuries to his chest and shoulder after crashing a mountain bike, a spokesman for the NSW Ambulance said.
The man was seen by paramedics and the helicopter's critical care medical team before being extracted via a stretcher winch, the helicopter service spokesman Mick Kerry said in a statement.
He he was flown from the remote campground to John Hunter Hospital soon after.
A hospital source said the man remained in the care of doctors on Saturday evening in a serious condition.
