A man has admitted killing the carp in his neighbour’s fishpond after being “driven completely insane” by the noise of the water pump.

Gerry Duffy, 76, of Barnet, north London, used motor oil and detergent to kill his neighbour’s fish and destroy the pump out of “sheer frustration and lack of sleep”.
