An 85-year-old man was left seriously injured after being beaten in a brutal attack by a fellow resident in his care home.
The man's family described the incident as a crazed attack that lasted almost an hour.
Emergency services were called to the scene at Meadows Court care home in Aylestone on September 28, and the victim, James Hand, was rushed to hospital for treatment.
