A pensioner who was out shopping has been left needing multiple days of hospital treatment following an alleged assault in a supermarket.
The unnamed 80-year-old man was out shopping with his wife in a Lidil in Stockton in the UK on Sunday, March 19, when the altercation took place, Teeside Live reports.
The couple were reportedly waiting in the queue prior to paying for their items at just a few moments past 2pm when another man allegedly pushed him - resulting in him falling over.

However, the suspect then left the Tower Street store before making off onto Stockton High Street.
Unfortunately, the victim of the reported assault also suffered multiple injuries resulting in a hospital stay following the incident, such as a fracture to his hip.
Now, Cleveland Police are now appealing to identify the suspect, who is described as a white male, aged late sixties to early seventies and around 5ft 8in tall.
He has been described as having grey hair, which is balding at the top and was wearing glasses, a dark coat, and a white or cream jumper with a black collared shirt underneath.
A spokesperson for the force said: "Police are appealing after a man was left with a fractured hip in an assault in Lidl, Stockton.
“The incident happened in the Tower Street store around 2:05pm on Sunday, March 19.
"A man, aged 80, was waiting to be served in company with his wife when another man pushed him, causing him to fall over and fracture his hip.
“The man spent a number of days at the University Hospital of North Tees whilst receiving treatment.
"The suspect then left the store and made off onto Stockton High Street.
“He is described as a white male, aged late sixties to early seventies, 5ft 8” tall, with grey hair which was balding at the top, wearing glasses, a dark coat with a white or cream jumper underneath and a black collared shirt under the jumper.”
