Man, 64, knocked unconscious after being attacked from behind in violent robbery - now police want to speak to these men

Police are appealing for information after a man was knocked unconscious after being attacked from behind in a violent robbery. Officers were called at around 9pm on December 6 to reports of a robbery on Little Bank Street in Oldham.

The victim, a 64-year-old man, was attacked from behind and sustained a head injury. Police said he was then knocked unconscious following the attack.

The force added that he then had his mobile phone and bank cards stolen from him. An image of two males police want to speak to as part of their enquiries has now been released.

Anyone with information is being urged to contact Greater Manchester Police immediately as investigations into the attack continue.

A spokesperson for the force said: "At around 9pm on Tuesday 6 December 2022, officers were called to reports of a robbery on Little Bank Street in Oldham. A 64-year-old man was attacked from behind. He sustained a head injury and was knocked unconscious as a result of this attack.

"The victim then had his personal property stolen which included his mobile phone and bank cards. The police have released an image of two men who they believe may be able to assist with enquiries."
