A 47-year-old man has died following a collision between two buses at a depot in Evanstown, Gilfach Goch on Friday. The man's death, which happened at around 7.45am on Friday morning, is not being treated as suspicious.
South Wales Police said, however, that officers would investigate the circumstances in conjunction with the Health and Safety Executive. A spokesman for the force said: "The man’s family are aware and are being supported at this time."
An air ambulance landed at the scene after police said they were called to a "collision between two buses" at the depot on Glannant Road. Eyewitnesses reported that it landed in Welfare Park just after 8am on Friday, and a large number of emergency service teams including police, the ambulance service and the fire service were at the scene.

Other local residents said they heard a helicopter landing and multiple sirens from emergency service vehicles around 8am this morning. The air ambulance had left the scene by 9.30am, but police remained into the afternoon and closed off the street that leads down to the depot.
A spokesman for the Welsh Ambulance Service said: "We sent five Hazardous Area Rescue Teams, two rapid response vehicles, one emergency ambulance, and one Wales air ambulance to the scene.”
